Founded in 1935 by the late Mr. Paul Spechler, the family-owned Spechler-Vogel Textiles has been at its present location on West 39th Street in Manhattan for over 40 years. Mr Spechler's brother-in-law, Alvin Vogel joined the firm as partner in 1951. Now he and Spechler's son Jeffrey manage the company.
Spechler-Vogel Textiles is known for fine Pima Cottons and Imperial poly/cottons which have a universally timeless appeal. Batistes and shirt-weight cottons are an important segment of the line but it ranges from seersucker to corduroy and velvet. Spechler-Vogel's trademark Featherwale 21 wale Corduroy is the finest in the world. Spandex and polyester are gaining importance. The collection is rounded out with linens, silks and wools: all in the most classic weaves and construction.

Boutross Imports carries a wide variety of linen "blanks" for monogramming and embellishing as well as beautifully embroidered linens. Their large assortment of guest towels are highly prized as gifts. Their bedding collection includes sheets, shams, duvets and boudoir pillows in pure linen with a few in cotton. Baby items are of particular interest including bed sets, bibs, bonnets, dresses and more. Table Linens are perhaps their biggest department with runners, napkins and table cloths in all sizes. Rounding out the gift line are handkerchiefs for men and women, tissue box covers, aprons, padded coat hangers, gift bags and Christmas items.
